A step back in time

Ashgrove Cottage is a historic Irish stone cottage that was professionally restored in 2003. Located on a quiet road in Kilshanny in County Clare, Ireland, it can accommodate up to six people.

The cottage was built with local materials and has walls up to four feet thick. Originally thatched, the roof is now made of “blue banger slates” that were recycled from a church renovation. Besides the house, the four-acre site includes a front meadow, hedged garden, sheltering tree grove, stone sheds with Moher flag roofs, and hay shed.

Accommodations include kitchen, living/dining room, two large double bedrooms, twin bed loft, and one full bath. An initial supply of fuel for the wood stove, bed linens, and towels are provided. Amenities include gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, television, VCR, and radio. Telephone and Internet access are available. Private off-road parking. No pets.
